Don’t just start at the bare white walls (and doors) of your home! With such craft supplies as fabric and paper, you can transform a wall, door, or even furniture into your own masterpiece.

Fabric:
A little fabric can go a long way especially when you have prints or patterns that you can cut out into various shapes. Kayte of Love Forever transforms her boring walls by creating a montage of vintage flowers cut out of fabric and patterned over her wall. To achieve this look, Kayte dipped each piece of floral fabric in liquid starch and rolled it on the wall with a brayer. Voila! In no time she’s got a beautifully patterned wall that can be easily peeled off later when she moves.

Paper:
Grace at Design Sponge took to her favorite wrapping paper and adorned her closet door by filling in the molding. The result is a quick makeover that turns boring white doors into a fresh new design. Find new uses for those beautiful scrapbook papers you’ve been drooling over and put them to good use. To attach paper to walls you have a few options to use: clear contact paper, double-sided tape, or decoupage glue.
